MCLEAN, John

We want to thank all of John’s friends, our neighbours and a special clerk at Zehr’s for all the kindness you showed John in his life. Neighbours John and Alfie Galda have always been particularly caring to John over the years and we are very grateful for their friendship. John lived in Oustic for over 40 years with his brother Randy and, more recently, Randy’s wife, Karen Eddie. He died very unexpectedly from a stroke on March 29th at age 66. John is also survived by his three sisters, Wendie, Cathie, TaraLee and their children. John was known as the Mayor of Oustic, often seen standing at the corner, watching traffic and looking for neighbours interested in a chat. He was a very social man, loved babies, rug hooking and paint by numbers. As often as possible, he would ride his bike to Brucedale or Fergus, enjoying lots of visits along the way. A celebration of life will take place in the summer. We’ll miss his gentle soul.
