McKELVEY, Sheila

Sheila Roselyn McKelvey (nee Hornett), of Durham and formerly of Fergus, passed away at London Health Sciences Centre – University Hospital on Sunday, January 19th, 2025 in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Fred McKelvey. Loving mother of Deanna and her husband John Schneider, Jim McKelvey, and Karl McKelvey and his wife Vicki Brindley. Cherished grandma of Jessica, J.J., Riley, Megan, and Jayden. Great-grandma of River, Sawyer, and Violet. Dear sister of Linda and her husband Leo McKelvey, and Donna and her late husband David Baily. Sheila is fondly remembered by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and her nieces and nephews. Visitation was held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Friday, January 24th from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8pm. A funeral service celebrating Sheila’s life was held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Saturday at 1pm. Spring interment at McNeil Cemetery, Priceville. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to London Health Sciences Foundation for the Clinical Neurosciences Program would be appreciated by the family.
