McGONEGAL, Carm Darwin

Carm McGonegal passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington, Guelph on Jan. 7/24 following a lengthy, fiercely fought battle with cancer. Carm was proud of his career as an Industrial Electrician. He was an avid reader, loved music, fishing and enjoyed exploring many parks and trails as often as he could. He is predeceased by his parents Darwin (2010) & June (2017) and sisters Colleen (2014) and Bonnie (2020). Carm is survived by sisters Jan (Bob Muir), Kate (Lyman Smith) and brother Rod. He is also survived by niece Annica Smith and nephews Richard and Paul Muir, Ryan Smith, Evan and Kyle Martin and all of their families. Predeceased by niece Carolyn Muir (2000). The family would like to thank the amazing staff and volunteers at Hospice Wellington for the care and kindness extended to both Carm and his family members during the past few weeks. Also thanks to his friends and coworkers from Linamar Gear who reached out, visited and kept in touch during his illness. Cremation has taken place and as per Carms wishes there will be no service. Donations to Hospice Wellington, Guelph or the Aboyne Hospice Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
