MCEACHREN, Gordon Lewis
Age 80, of Fergus Ontario passed away on January 3rd at The Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus. Gordon was born in Toronto, Ontario to Anne and Lewis McEachren on June 26, 1938. He was employed at Christie Brown Bakery for 41 years. He devoted his spare time volunteering with minor hockey (Fergus devils and Elora Rock) and lacrosse (Elora Mohawks), and was a lover of professional sports all his life. Gord is survived by his wife Donna, his sister Pat Redford, his brother Bob McEachren (Carolyn), his children Larry McEachren (Sue), Joanne Rutherford (Mike Wideman), Lynn Polley (Mark Wright), Linda McLean (Bill), four grandchildren, Shawn McEachren, Amber Pierce (Rob), Trevis Lebert (Cassandra) and Jennifer Giroux (Dave) and by his 4 great grandchildren. He will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Visitation was held at The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South, Fergus on Monday January 7th from 2:00 - 4:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00pm. The funeral service was held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday January 8th at 11:00am, with cremation to follow. Donations can be directed towards the Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation.
