MCCABE, Shirley Joan (nee Carter)
Passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, September 24th, 2020 in her 87th year. Shirley is predeceased by her husband John Douglas McCabe (2008) and her daughter Barbara McCabe (1994). Deeply missed by her children Judy McCabe-Smith (Jeff), Greg McCabe (Ann Lupal) and Nancy Beattie (Keith). Beloved grandmother of Laura, John, Emma, Nicole, Justine, Josh, Spencer and Barbara and loving great grandmother to Aria, Chloe, Jackson and Oliver. Survived by her sister Donna McLean and brother Gerry Carter (Doreen). Also predeceased by her sister Mary-Lou Benham. Shirley spent many years nursing, caring for people and always caring for her family. A Private Graveside Service will be conducted. Memorial donations can be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society or Groves Memorial Hospital.
