Mayor pays tribute to farm community
MAPLETON – Mayor Gregg Davidson opened the Feb. 22 council meeting with a tribute to farmers.
“Today is agricultural day in Canada and as an agricultural community, we already know the value of farm families and what they bring to the people in, not only our area, but to the entire country,” the mayor stated.
“And we appreciate each and every day, the men and women who have chosen the passionate career of agriculture and to bring food to the people.
“And today we raise our forks, and we recognize our food producers. So thank you all,” he added.
