Mapleton councillor elected as AMO rural caucus director

MAPLETON – Councillor Amanda Reid has been elected as rural caucus director for the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO).

Following her election, councillor Reid shared:

“I am truly honoured to have been elected ... I’m grateful for the confidence placed in me by municipal leaders from across rural Ontario. 

“I look forward to bringing Mapleton’s perspective to the table, listening to the experiences of communities across the province, and working collaboratively to ensure rural municipalities have a strong and meaningful voice in the decisions that affect us.” 

Reid said, “This is an opportunity to advocate for rural Ontario, and I’m excited to get to work.”
