Mapleton appoints deputy treasurer
MAPLETON – There’s a new deputy treasurer working for the Township of Mapleton.
Township finance director Patrick Kelly introduced Kim Keller during a March 24 council meeting and said she has “a strong background in financial management and accounting … (and) a real passion for supporting transparent and responsible financial reporting.”
Keller began her role in mid-March with cross-training with existing deputy treasurer Rachel Carter, who is taking maternity leave.
Keller has big shoes to fill, Kelly said, “but I have no doubt that her skills and approach will be a great fit for our finance team and for Mapleton as a whole.
“Kim will be working with our team on budgeting, financial reporting and day-to-day treasury operations,” Kelly said.
A Mapleton job posting about the role said it’s ideal for “early-career certified public accountants, finance graduates and professionals looking to pivot into public sector finance and make a tangible difference.”
