LOUGHRAN, Murray

Murray Douglas Loughran, formerly of Palmerston, passed away suddenly at Caressant Care, Listowel, of Covid–19 on Monday, January 18, 2021, in his 81st year. Loved father of three daughters; Crystal & Al Murray of St. Jacobs, Elaine & Jeff Manser of Palmerston and Jennifer Loughran & Troy Bolton of Drayton. Their mother Janet Loughran of Mount Forest also survives. He is remembered by his grandchildren Leda Loughran (Teresa), Jordan Manser (Stephanie), Shawnee Murray (Daniel), Sierra Murray (Patrick), Mitchell Lemieux (Daisy), Cole Manser (Brandi), Jenna-lyn Lemieux, Easton Kane. Predeceased by his parents, John Colonel Loughran & Margaret Ann (Stinson) Loughran. Murray was born at the home farm in Maryborough Township. The youngest of nine children he was predeceased by all eight siblings; brothers Carl, Neil, Leslie & Max and sisters, Gloria Brown, Jewell Robinson, Sylvia Ropp and Beverly Rabideau. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Following the Covid–19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be held at the Palmerston Cemetery at a later date. Memorial remembrances to Heart & Stroke Foundation, 556 Huron St., Stratford, ON N5A 5T9 or Caressant Care Nursing Home, 710 Reserve Ave. S., Listowel, ON N4W 2L1 would be appreciated.
