ERIN – LongRun Thoroughbred Retirement Society, a registered charity mandated to provide a dignified retirement from racing for Ontario’s thoroughbreds, has announced there will be an Open House at the Hillsburgh-area farm on July 9 from 10am to 2pm, after a pandemic-forced hiatus of three years.

The public will be able to tour the 100-acre property and meet many of its 50 residents, including 2017 Canadian Horse of the Year, Pink Lloyd; champions Fifty Proof, Riker, Rahy’s Attorney, Rare Friends, Millionare Something Extra; and other horses familiar to race-goers.

Demonstrations, merchandise sales and a prize draw will also be a part of the donation of $10 per person for non-sponsors is suggested.

For more information contact LongRun by phone (416 675 3993 ext. 1-3440) or email (info@longrunretirement.com).
