Walking for a cause - The Walk-It For Parkinson’s event this year was renamed Walk the Block for Parkinson’s due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants were encouraged to connect virtually as they walk their own block on Sept. 12 and 13. Locally the event kicked off with a group beginning their walk at the Ecclestone Financial Services Inc. office in Fergus and walking around town, up and down St. David Street and along St. Andrew Street downtown. The group raised awareness and funds for the Parkinson’s Society Southwestern Ontario. The Wellington Dufferin walk raised over $15,000. Those interested in donating can still do so at walktheblock.ca.

Rob Ecclestone and family took part in the event.
