Local businesses donate to create snack boxes for local hospital staff
PrintFactor Media and Copernicus Educational Products each donated money to local hospitals for snack boxes to thank staff for their dedication throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Here staff show off a snack box in the physician lounge at Groves hospital. Submitted photos

WELLINGTON COUNTY – PrintFactor Media and Copernicus Educational Products each donated money to Groves Memorial Community Hospital to show their support for staff in this ongoing, long-going pandemic and that was converted into the snack boxes.

The boxes, with popcorn, granola bars and other healthy treats, were distributed to staff at Groves and also at Louise Marshall and Palmerston hospitals on Feb. 24.

Lori Arsenault, executive director of the Groves Hospital Foundation, said the gesture was greatly appreciated by staff members, who are growing weary after two years of COVID-19 and all the adjustments and sacrifices that have been made.

“Staff very much appreciate the support from local businesses,” Arsenault stated.

"That feeling of being appreciated helps them carry on."
