LEE, Nancy (Nan) Faith

It is with hearts full of gratitude for the time we shared that we announce the peaceful passing of Nancy (Nan) Faith Lee on October 29, 2026, at Wellington Terrace, at the age of 85. Nan was the beloved wife and best friend of the late William (Sonny) Lee (2013). She was a loving and devoted Mother to Jamie (Ronnie) Jackson, Becky (Tim) Pyke, Mindy (Terry) Kelloway, and Brett, as well as a cherished Grandmother of 13 and Great-Grandmother of 10. She was a loving sister to Lyn, and sister-in-law to Maureen (Robin), Carol (Earl), and Reagan. Nan is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members. She is predeceased by her parents, Lois Vasey and Claude and Agnes Vasey; her parents-in-law, William and Annie Lee; her brother Jerry and sister-in-law Wendy Vasey; and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Anne and Chick Billings. Nan was a talented seamstress that provided many of her skills to the community during her child rearing days. She also enjoyed knitting and took pride in the things she created while passing down her skills to her family along the way. Camping was a huge part of Nans life and a love that her children have continued to pass on down through the generations. Many trips were spent not only with family but with great friends that appreciated a good time around the fire roasting marshmallows and singing campfire songs. Many winter nights were kept warm at the Elora Curling Club surrounded by a hearty group and lots of laughter. Nan worked for many years at the local LCBO, where she took pride in helping build an extensive wine selection. Her interests were many. There was always a book to be read, a crossword puzzle to be completed, or a walk to be had. Nan especially loved bringing family and friends together around the table. She was a great cook, especially known for her delicious lasagna and Hummingbird cake. Her kitchen was a gathering place filled with good food, laughter, and conversation. Cooking was one of the many ways Nan showed her love, and the memories of those meals will be treasured by her family and friends. One of Nan’s favourite places was the family cottage in Barrow Bay, where many wonderful memories were made over the years. It was a special place for gatherings, laughter, and time spent together. Above all, Nan was devoted to her family. She will be remembered for her lively spirit, her perfectly timed remarks, and the love she had for those closest to her. Her absence will be deeply felt, but her stories, laughter, and memories will live on for generations. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Nan’s extended family at Wellington Terrace and to Dr. Stickney for the kindness, compassion, and care shown to her. A celebration of Nan’s life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to the Music Program at Wellington Terrace (please indicate “Music Program” with your donation). Your generosity is sincerely appreciated by the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home.
