KNIGHT, Sandra Sophronia, (nee Wilson)

Passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026 at the age of 81, after a 10 year battle with dementia, surrounded by family. She is survived by her husband Wayne, her three children, Wendy Killaire (Paul), Stepahnie Bandy (Charles), and Glenn Knight (Shari), grandchildren, Gabriel Killaire, Quinn Killaire, Kaitlin Bandy, Ashleigh Knight and Grace Knight. Also survived by siblings, Doug Peters, Doreen Bloomfield and Brenda Sprague. Sandra was predeceased by sisters Cheryl Collins an Colleen Cardillo. Also predeceased by parents Dorothy Peters, step-father Stanley Peters and by father Bruce Wilson. Sandra was born in Toronto on August 29, 1944, moved to Windsor when she was seven years old. Married Wayne in 1964 and resided in Hillsburgh to raise her family. She was very involved in her community volunteering for different organizations. She made many friends in this small community. She will be remembered for her great laugh and deep connection to family. Her career in banking lasted for years and she retired as office manager for the family business. Thanks to the caring staff at Barnswallow Place in Elmira for making her stay there as comfortable as possible. As per Sandra’s wishes, there will not be a service. Cremation has taken place and she will be interred at Huxley Cemetery in Hillsburgh.
