Joy Pinchin retires after more than 31 years at Fergus Post Office

Joyful retirement – Joy Pinchin retired from the Fergus Post Office on Jan. 8 after 31 years, eight months and one week on the job. Being the Elvis Presley fan she is, Pinchin retired on Presley’s birthday. In the photo she stands with her father Allen Evans, who was one of the original eight mail carriers hired when Fergus started home delivery in 1971. That means there has been a member of the Evans family serving the postal community for 50 years and Pinchin’s retirement marks the end of an era.
