JONES, Doris Catharine (née Cottelt)

Doris passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Oneida Long Term Care Home in her 77th year. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family: dear sister of Patricia Lanoue (Patrick), Bob Cottell (Sandi), Sid Cottell (Joanne), Ed Cottell (Cathy), and Mary Heffernan (Leo). Loving aunt and faithful pen pal to many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her husband, Garry Jones; her parents, Frank and Ursula Cottell; her twin brother, Bernie; and her oldest brother, Joe. Known for her love of colour, sense of style, and talent for many crafts, Doris delighted in creating custom cards that brought warmth and happiness to those around her. At Oneida Long Term Care Home, Doris was surrounded by excellent care and many friends she came to cherish. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the entire staff, especially facility administrator Deb Knight, for her care and leadership. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Williams Funeral Home, St. Thomas.
