Jeff Stewart to speak about Canadian food, Food Day Canada on June 12

ELORA – Jeff Stewart of Food Day Canada has been travelling coast to coast to coast in Canada in search of food heroes and innovations.

Stewart’s mother Anita Stewart started the world’s longest barbecue that became the August holiday weekend’s Food Day Canada – a celebration of producers, chefs and the abundance and diversity of Canadian food.

But before then, Jeff Stewart will be showing images and speaking about his fascinating food travels at a public event on June 12, downstairs at the Elora library.

“Share the exciting journey of exploration and hear about the plans for Food Day Canada this year,” organizers say.

Admission is by donation and seating is limited. Doors open at 6pm; the presentation begins at 6:30. Food Day Canada is on Aug. 2.
