JARRETT, Gordon Russell
Passed away peacefully at Toronto General Hospital in his 77th year. He is survived by his wife and life partner Janice (Skerritt), daughter Abigail, son Christopher, brother Bryan & Becky of Georgetown, Texas, and niece Stacey Jarrett of Kitchener. Predeceased by his parents Howard & Doris Jarrett and nephew David Jarrett. He will be remembered by extended family, nieces and nephews and many friends. Gord had many passions including family, history, his cottage and especially Corvettes. He lived life fully, always pushing forward. When his lung health journey began in 2016, his approach was the same. On March 6, 2022, Gord received the Gift of Life from Toronto’s University Health Network Lung Transplant Program at Toronto General Hospital; and we, his family are truly grateful for this gift of time. Friends will be received Friday, September 29, 2023, from 6-9pm for visitation at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South, Fergus. A private memorial service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Gord’s family encourages you to consider becoming an organ donor (beadonor.ca). Alternatively, a donation may be made to a charity that is meaningful to you, and is greatly appreciated by the family.
