Herb passed peacefully on Sunday May 26, 2019 at Groves Memorial Hospital. He was predeceased by his mother, Margaret, his father, George and his sister, Alice. Herb was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Isabella for 68 years. He was a proud father of his four children: Marni (Clyde), Michelle (Chuck), Monica (Steve) and Howard (Rosemary), his grandchildren, Roger (Stephanie), Richard (Kelly), Melissa (Odida), Renee (David), Chad (Kati), Clay, Jessica (Garth), Chris (Allison), Theresa, Janine (Tom), Garrett (Alexis), Brandon (Olivia) and his great grandchildren, Harmony, Radiance, Israel, Isaiah, Jada, Sienna, Sawyer, Haley, Ben and Zac. Herb was born on January 21, 1932 in Doaktown, New Brunswick. He grew up in New Toronto and was a long time member of Local 793 Hoisting Engineers. He took pride in his part in finishing the CN Tower and many other Toronto landmarks. Herb travelled extensively and was always up for a new adventure. He loved music for the way it touched his soul and often treated the family to his beautiful voice. He was a born teacher always ready to explain anything from mechanics, history, geography, economics to the mysteries of the world. Herb was treasured by his family and will be missed by them and his many friends.
