Of Walkerton passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, on Tuesday January 25th, 2022, in his 85th year. He will be missed by his wife of 62 years, Audrey Annie Grace (nee Moore) His children: Fred & Sandra (nee Newman) of Walkerton, Jean (Paul) Grubb of Nova Scotia, Bruce & Nancy (nee Dodd) of Chesley, Allan & Linda (nee Abell) of Walkerton, Jeff of Walkerton, Phil & Helena (nee Enns) of Alberta and Cheryl (Rick) Middaugh of Stratford. Cherished grandfather to 20 and great-grandfather to many more. He is survived by sister Doris Eccles of Palmerston and sister-in-law Joan (Alex) Troup. Also missed by many nieces and nephews. Murray was born February 9, 1937 in Mount Forest Ontario. Here he met and married Audrey on March 7, 1959. They were blessed with 7 children and spent most of their time raising them and farming in the Walkerton/ Mildmay area. Murray is predeceased by his parents Robert Frederick and Edna Pearl Holliday, brothers Ross Holliday, Wallace Holliday and Lloyd Holliday and his sister Maggie Vaine. Also predeceased by his in-laws, George Eccles, George Vaine, Carolyn Holliday, and June Holliday. Celebration of Life for Murray will be held from 11:30am to 3:00pm on Monday, May 2, 2022, at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 102, Walkerton. Spring interment in Walkerton Cemetery. A heartfelt thanks to the medical and support staff at the Walkerton Hospital. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Walkerton & District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
