Councillors here are ready to remove holding provisions on lands at Mini Lakes trailer park in Puslinch.

Mini Lakes is located along the south side of Wellington Road 34 east of Aberfoyle and is owned by the Mini Lakes Residents Association.

The holding provisions were established by the Ontario Municipal Board in 2000 “to ensure the orderly conversion of the Mini Lakes property from a seasonal recreational/residential park to a permanent residential adult lifestyle community.” Once the symbol is removed from a specific dwelling site, it may be used for a year round residential occupancy subject to the township’s building standards and the applicable regulations of the Mini Lakes (ML) zone.

Mayor Dennis Lever noted that he had been talking with Mr. and Mrs. Paron on Jan. 19.

Lever said they indicated there are only a few of the sites occupied by facilities which cannot be inhabited year round.

“Eventually there will be none,” Lever said.
