HOLDER, John Clifford

Passed peacefully at Headwaters Health Care Centre on April 12, 2026, to join his beloved parents Gerald and Ilda. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Lenore, his son Stephen (Bonna), his daughters Sheila, Sharon (Dale), and Susan (Hugh), his nine grandchildren, and his eight great-grandchildren. John lived a full life, with Lenore by his side. He enjoyed his years running the dairy farm, refereeing hockey, coaching lacrosse and softball, travelling by motorhome, and raising his family. In retirement, he enjoyed living part-time in Fort Myers, FL, where he and Lenore became very active in Shuffleboard, including representing Canada in International competitions. John was Inducted into the Ontario Shuffleboard Association Hall of Fame in 2022. In his later years, John battled with courage and determination through health issues, to be with Lenore and his family. The family received friends at Dod’s & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel and Reception Centre at 21 First St., Orangeville on Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 1 - 3pm, with words of remembrance at 2:30pm. A private family event will be held later to lay John to rest. Memorial donations in John’s memory may be made to the Headwaters Health Care Foundation. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
