Historic cities featured in lectures

CENTRE-WELLINGTON - Mimosa Church is again offering Food For Thought a historical lecture and dinner series called Wonders of Historic Cities.

Dinner is limited to 50 persons, so book by calling June Switzer at 519-855-4201 or jswitzer@sentex.net by the Saturday before each date:

Oct. 23, York - Wool and Prayer - Vikings and Merchants;

Oct. 30,  Avignon - The Babylonian Captivity - Papal Splendor;

Nov. 6, Carcassonne - Fortress of the Languedoc-Cathars and Crusaders; and

Nov. 13, Dubrovnik -    Pearl of the Adriatic   -   City of Seven Flags.

Lectures are free at 7:30pm and open for all to drop in without calling ahead.

For those attending the dinner at 6:30pm as well, a free will offering for the church’s work is requested.
