HILL, Lorne Frederick

passed away peacefully at home on July 2nd, 2026 (at the age of 79) with his family by his side. He was born on February 7, 1947, only child to Jack Hill (predeceased 1971) and Isobel Hill (predeceased 2012). Lorne and his wife Angela (Moroni) were married on October 23rd, 1971. He will be missed by his two sons, Greg (Janet) and David (Jessica) and six grandchildren, Jazlynn, Hunter, Alyssa, Hudson Addison (predeceased 2022) and Carter. Lorne has had many jobs in sales, covering all Ontario. The longest job was owner/operator driving for Red Top Taxi as owner of Car 1, which he did for over 25 years before retiring. He enjoyed restoring old cars and had his share of them. Favourite was the 1956 Chevy Belair. Loved going to car cruises in the local area. Loved to travel and see the world. Lorne and Angela did many cruises to Alaska, British Isles, Baltic, Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, Norwegian Fjords, many Caribbean cruises and many more. His favourite cruise was the South America Voyage, cruise around South America and Easter Island for 58 days. A Celebration of Lorne’s life will be held at the Guelph Country Club, 133 Woodlawn Road East, Guelph, on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00pm. All are welcome to attend.
