HILL, Jean Winnifred (nee Rutherford)
Born in Hamilton on October 17, 1936, moved to Lucknow in 2011 but was a long time resident of Morriston. Jean passed away peacefully at home in Lucknow with all the love and support of her family. She is the dear mother of Catherine Hill (Greg Field), John Hill (Cindy), Patti Boudreau (Bill), Jayne Hayward (Barry Trotter), Rose Heyden (Blair), Charles Hill (Janice), and Christopher Hill (Michelle). Predeceased by son Jamie Hill (Susan). Proud Granny of 19 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Jean was deeply loved by several (adopted) children and adults, who visited her on many occasions. She survived with Parkinson’s for 27 years, which left many challenges, but her love for scrapbooking and making cards took up most of her time. She loved just to shop local, so we did. Thank you to all the local community for your help and support during this last difficult time. Following Jean’s wishes, she has been cremated and a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday September 25, 2021 from 12:00 - 4:00pm at the Purple Grove Community Centre (788 Sideroad 5, South of Concession 12, Ripley).
