HENLEY, James Robert
Passed peacefully at home on Thursday August 12 with his loving wife of 21 years, Sandra, by his side. Jim will be dearly missed by his son Richard (Debbie) and Sandra’s children Janet Byrne and Jamie Verhagen. Adored grandfather of Alicia, Nicholas, Emily, Tommy, Jackson and Avery, and great grandfather of Kali and Lukas. Sandra met her soulmate Jim at her restaurant in Rockwood, where he would frequently dine. Together, they lived a very full and exciting life, travelling, flipping houses and spending time at their beautiful second home in Texas. Jim and Sandra spent more than five years volunteering at Maple Leaf Acres, working hard to restore the memorial gardens. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jim’s life is to be held at Maple Leaf Acres on Sunday August 29, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory may be made to the Guelph Humane Society or to a charity of your choice, and are greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home in Fergus.
