Helmer story in Chicken Soup book

BELWOOD – Local writer Marilyn Helmer has a story included in the latest compilation in the Chicken Soup for the Soul series.

Helmer’s story, Just Socks, is included in the new book, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Age is Just a Number.

Helmer, of Belwood, is the award-winner author of numerous children’s books as well as short stories, poetry and articles,” states a press release from the publisher.

She has also recently published a collection of her short adult fiction titled Birdsong on a Summer Evening and contributed to Stories to Chew On, a book of 50-word stories published by her writer’s group, the Wellies.
