HAYWARD, Ronald “Ron”
Peacefully at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, on Friday, May 8, 2026 in his 87th year. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Margaret in 2015. Loving father of Joanne Admans and her husband Jeff of Cambridge, and Teresa Stephan and her husband Mike of Eden Mills. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Jessica Keachie and her husband Brandon, Kaitlin Admans and her fiancé Stephen Kelly, and Taylor Admans and his wife Tessa; his great-grandchildren Emma, Gracelyn, Claire, Jack and Ellis. Lovingly remembered by his companion Wreatha Speers. Ron also shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Mocha, who brought him great company and joy. Ron was born and raised in Toronto. He and Margaret moved to Milton to raise their family and built a wonderful life together. Ron dedicated 25 years of service as a school custodian with the Halton District School Board. Ron had a passion for sports and rarely missed a chance to cheer for his favorite teams on the TV. He loved staying active and enjoyed bowling, relaxing days at the beach, and fishing trips at the cottage. Whether casting a line off the dock or sharing stories with loved ones, Ron appreciated life’s simple pleasures. Above all else, Ron treasured time spent with his family. He loved gathering together, creating memories, and sharing laughter with those he loved most. His warmth and gentle spirit will be missed. The family would like to thank the staff of Waterloo Regional Health Network Cancer Centre; Bayshore Health Care, especially Stephanie, Kathy, Sandra, Ann and Dr. Lund; and Hospice Wellington. The care and compassion shown to Ron and the family will always be remembered. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the England Funeral Home, 294 Main Street South, Mount Forest, on Friday, May 15th from 2:00-4:00pm.
