Harriston Town Hall Bell Tower may be enclosed
Recreation Director David Stonley would like to see some changes at the Old Town Hall in Harriston.
As part of the parks and recreation advisory committee discussion on the replacement of the roof at the hall, Stonley asked if the bell tower could be addressed at the same time.
He reported issues with the bell tower roof and siding.
As a result, he advised replacing the existing flat roof with a peaked, sloped roof and installing windows around the bell, enclosing the structure, thus curtailing future water damage.
Committee members endorsed the approach, providing Stonley secures two bids for the work.
