HARRISTON – The Harriston and District Horticultural Society held its 22nd annual Garden Festival at the Harriston Community Centre on June 7. Officials say the event was a huge success, with over 1,000 people in attendance. Vendors with a wide array of plants and gardening materials showcased their wares and the event featured presentations by master gardeners and a silent auction. The society wishes to thank raffle and silent auction donors, plant donors, volunteers, vendors, the Town of Minto and the public for their continued support of this event. On June 13 at 7pm, during Norwell District Secondary School’s graduation ceremony, the horticultural society will be awarding its annual $500 bursary to a student pursuing studies in horticultural related fields. The winner for 2025 is Abbi Mettler.
