HALL, Kenneth Wayne
Passed away on Wednesday February 4th, 2026, surrounded by love. He was a devoted husband, a proud father to Stephanie and Brendan (Rachel), a cherished Pops, brother to Doug (Sue), Barb (Keith), Diane (Bob), predeceased by father, Lorne Hall and mother, Joan Hall, a beloved uncle to 21, and a great-uncle to many and a loyal friend to all who knew him. A skilled mechanic and passionate farmer, whose roots ran deep in the town of Hillsburgh, Ken could fix just about anything and enjoyed fishing in his boat and often leading a group on the snowmobile trails. Known for his quick wit and easy going nature, he was the life of the party and a beloved, happy friend to many. At the campground, he was the one others naturally gathered around for stories, laughter, and a sense of belonging. Deeply loved and endlessly generous with his time, heart and famous for his chicken wings, he had a rare gift for making people feel welcome and valued. To his family, he was constant and dependable, always there when it mattered. He was Dad to Stephanie and Brendan. As children, he taught them to skate and play ball. He taught valuable life skills in everything he did - whether it be in the shop or advice on friendships, he was a source of steady guidance and knowledge. To his grandchildren, Edyn, Tate and Nash, his role as Pops was one of his greatest joys, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Some of the best memories for them are snowplowing in the tractor and sharing snacks on his recliner. The kid’s always felt his warmth and love when he was around and watching them play. As a husband, he trusted Edie in countless ways, and together they made a complete partnership—each strengthening the other. He showed his love through action, whether fixing things around the house, taking care of what needed to be done, or quietly being there. His affection wasn’t loud or showy; it was steady, private, and meaningful, shared most fully with Edie. Kenner will be remembered by many different names and titles in the community. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the family who loved him deeply. He will be forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered. A Celebration of Life will be held at Center 2000 in Erin on February 21st between 1:00-4:00pm. Coffee and tea and snacks will be available. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please send your donations to Hospice Wellington in Guelph in Ken’s name.
