HAINES, Ted

Ted Haines passed away peacefully on December 13 at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus, at the age of 88. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Jean. He will be dearly missed by his children Lorna Faires (Andrew), Dan Haines (Marla), Andy Haines (Lorie), David Haines (Donna Metcalfe) and Gary Haines (Betty-Lynne). Proud Grandpa of Shannon Faires, Alyssa Faires, Lisa Gailbraith (Haines), Mark Haines, Arianne Haines, Christopher Haines, Cameron Haines, Kate Varley (Haines) and Scott Haines. Ted was a longtime employee of the Forestry department with the City of North York. He was also a volunteer and member of the Victoria Park Senior’s Centre for many years. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ted’s memory may be made to the Centre Wellington Food Bank, and are greatly appreciated by his family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home in Fergus.
