Guelph Wish Fund is off to the races
Night at the Races offers behind the scenes look at Grand River Raceway
ELORA – The Guelph Wish Fund for Children is planning a fun, family-oriented fundraiser for the agency that serves children in Guelph and Wellington with life-altering illness or injury.
Registration is now open for Night at the Races, and officials hope people will come for a relaxed and interesting night behind the scenes at the Grand River Raceway.
“This special event is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together for an evening of connection, entertainment, and family-friendly fun in Elora,” officials state.
Guests will enjoy a delicious BBQ buffet dinner catered by The GrandWay Lounge while connecting with friends, family and members of the community.
Children will love the face painting and family-friendly activities planned throughout the evening, making it a fun event for all ages.
The evening will also feature a behind-the-scenes tour of the racing barn, which is a rare event, especially on a race night.
Guests can also participate in a silent auction featuring a variety of exciting prizes generously donated by local businesses and community supporters, with proceeds helping to support children in Guelph and Wellington County.
August 14 is the date, and the event runs from 5:30pm to 9pm.
Tickets are $55 per ticket and can be reserved at gwfc.givecloud.co/NATR.
