Guelph Tool Library brings better living seniors program to Elora

GUELPH – The “Living Better on Less for Seniors” program, run by the Guelph Tool Library, is now offered in Elora.

The six-week program runs Oct. 23 to Nov. 27 at St. John’s Anglican Church (36 Henderson St.).

Sessions run 11am to 12pm and are free to attend.

“The Living Better On Less for Seniors program offers interactive learning that focuses on how to stretch your dollar and have less impact on the environment,” officials stated.

The goal is to help participants feel more connected in the community, to allow them to share their experiences, and to inform them of resources and opportunities available to them.

Kim Logue, the facilitator of the series, has previously guided the program within Guelph, Erin and Fergus.

Living Better on Less received funding from the New Horizons For Seniors federal grant program to support its expansion to smaller communities beyond Guelph.

The program will bring together seniors in these communities to address issues such as isolation, volunteerism and finances.

The discussion-based sessions feature a mix of special guest speakers, question/asnwer periods and hands-on learning.

Pre-registration is encouraged and can be done by emailing livingbetteronless@guelphtoollibrary.org.
