Guelph Little Theatre to present The Game’s Afoot Or Holmes For The Holidays

GUELPH – From Oct. 23 to Nov. 2, the Guelph Little Theatre is slated to present The Game’s Afoot Or Holmes For The Holidays by Ken Ludwig.

The show is directed by Todd Davies and begins as a party among a group of theatre actors that turns into a murder most foul in Ludwig’s hilarious murder mystery.

William Gillette, an actor popular for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes, invites all his theatre friends, Felix, Madge, Simon and Aggie to his home, Gillette Castle, for a Christmas party hosted by his mother, Martha.

What he doesn’t tell them is that he has also invited their most hated theatre critic, Daria Chase.

Soon, the police arrive and everyone is a suspect.

Chase may use her words to cut people down, but someone at the party uses a far more effective and deadly way to cut her down.

Steve Young leads the cast as William Gillette with Inese Hill as Martha Gillette, Martin Glassford as Felix Geisel, Oriana Abrahamse as Madge Geisel, Jack French as Simon Bright, Jasmine Rajaballey as Aggie Wheeler, Stacey England as Inspector Goring and Jackie Wray as Daria Chase.

Show times include:

– Oct. 23, 24, 25, 30 and Nov. 1 at 7pm; and

– Oct. 25, 26, Nov. 1 and 2 at 2pm.

Tickets are available $30 for adults and $25 for seniors and students.

The Guelph Little Theatre is located at 176 Morris St., Guelph.
