BRUCEDALE – Guelph/Eramosa council has awarded the purchase of a new compact tractor to DeBoer’s Equipment in Salem.
The tractor will cost $81,659, nearly $30,000 less than originally budgeted.
“It’s kind of at the end of its useful life,” said parks and facilities manager Jeff Myer of the old tractor.
“We are starting to see signs of wear.
The old tractor is nearly 20 years old and must be replaced as per Guelph/Eramosa’s policy.
Township staff also circulated requests for a quote to Connect Equipment and Premiere Equipment, but both companies did not meet the outlined specifications.
