Guelph Dance introduces lineup for festival

GUELPH – Guelph Dance is thrilled to announce the lineup for the 25th annual Guelph Dance Festival. 

The 2023 Guelph Dance Festival will be taking place in-person from June 1 to June 4. 

“We are pleased to present our programming, featuring an exciting range of performances, celebrations, and workshops with both local and national artists,” officials say. 

Tickets are now available through the River Run Centre’s Box Office – online at riverrun.ca, by phone at 519-763-3000, or in person. 

The festival offers a sliding scale flexible ticketing structure – including single event tickets and festival passes.

Festival Schedule

June 1: ‘On the Stage’ featuring Compagnie Marie Chouinard (Montreal) presenting Radical Vitality. 

June 2: ‘In the Park’ featuring DINO by Rock Bottom Movement (Toronto); HAKO by OURO Collective (Vancouver); Three Turtles in the Park by Fila 13 Productions (Montreal); and The Blak/Byood (The Black Beauty) by The Kween Company (Guelph). 

After the performances join us at the first-ever Guelph Dance Festival Beer Garden featuring the techno pow wow beats of DJ Classic Roots (Toronto). 

This will be a great party in the park to celebrate our 25th anniversary.

June 3: Non Dancer Workshop with Alyssa Martin. Zero dance experience required for this pressure-free dip into the dance world.

‘In the Church’ featuring the Screen Dances Series Screening curated by Aria Evans; and Double Time curated and produced by Katie Ewald. 

June 4: OURO Approach Workshop with OURO Collective. Learn the foundations and fundamentals of hip hop, waacking, and house.

‘In the Park’ featuring the same programming as Friday and Saturday.
