GUELPH – Guelph Dance has announced its lineup for the 27th annual Guelph Dance Festival. The event will take place from May 30 to June 1 in a variety of venues across the city.
The programming will feature work by local and national artists. The festival also offers multiple opportunities to try moving yourself through workshops and community celebrations.
On May 30, at 7pm IN THE PARK featuring Sofi Gudiño presenting Ricardo en le Parque, Thomas Oberlin/New Dance Horizons/Rouge-Gorge presenting &, and Steph Harkness presenting How Lucky Are We, at Exhibition Park.
On May 31, at 10:30am Steph Harkness will host a workshop of How Lucky Are We, which includes dancing and handshake making at Exhibition Park.
At 12pm, IN THE PARK featuring the same programming as Friday.
At 4pm, IN THE LAB featuring Katie Ewald presenting the space between at ImprovLab (University of Guelph – International Institute for Critical Studies in Improvisation).
At 8pm, ON THE STAGE featuring Simik Komaksiutiksak presenting Anxiety at the River run Centre.
And finally at 10pm, PARTY PARTY PARTY at artBar with Salsa DJs Gury Gury and Tarek. There will also be a dance lesson courtesy of Flying Dance Community.
The last day on June 1 will include, a Komaksiutiksak meditation, stretch and workout for the mind body and spirit workshop at Exhibition Park at 10:30am.

Attendance to IN THE LAB featuring Ewald and ON THE STAGE featuring Komaksiutiksak require tickets which are available online at the River Run website at riverun.ca, by phone at 519-763-3000 or in person at the River Run Centre at 35 Woolwich St.
