Guelph Black Heritage Society holding anti-racism summit

GUELPH – The Guelph Black Heritage Society will host the second annual #ChangeStartsNow Anti-Racism Summit from May 12 to 15.

The theme is ‘Our Stories. Our History. Our Heritage’ and is open to the entire community.

It will be a hybrid event and will bring together speakers and presenters to address racism and issues affecting the BIPOC community.

The summit will feature a series of free and ticketed events.

Passes are available now and are on sale until May 4.

The in-person events will be held at Heritage Hall, 83 Essex St. in Guelph.

Each pass, offered on a sliding scale from $35 to $100 ($495 value), will give access to eight exclusive events for the duration of the summit.

A limited number of tickets will be available for the Freedom Fete: A Tribute to Nicky Dread for a cost of $20 each.
