ENNOTVILLE – Grinder Productions is holding open auditions on March 1 at the Ennotville Library and is looking for actors for a number of projects in the 2025 season and beyond.
The company is casting for three confirmed shows in its “Anchors and Sails” season and is looking for additional talent for two to three other shows tentatively scheduled for this year.
There are no child or teen roles available this season, so the company is only looking for adult actors at this time; otherwise all are welcome, no previous experience necessary.
There will be two different types of auditions, so people can choose which format suits them best.
From 1 to 2:30pm will be a group audition. Everyone will be together and will cold-read from various scripts.
No preparation is required, and people do not need to register in advance.
From 2:30 to 4pm there will be individual auditions for those who prefer to deliver a prepared monologue of their choice.
Those audition time slots will be 10 minutes in length, and potential actors must contact in advance to register.
The confirmed shows include the classic Greek tragedy Electra (by Euripides); the world premiere of Maid of Stone, a dystopian satire by Grinder’s creative and executive director Eric Goudie; and St. John Hankin’s lighthearted one-act comedy The Constant Lover.
Confirmed and tentative shows will take place at various times between May and September of this year.
To register for an individual time slot, or for more general information about the shows or Grinder Productions, contact Goudie at 226-820-5285 or by email at grinderwriting12@gmail.com.
