Great Canadian Fiddle Show performed at the Fergus Grand Theatre

Fiddling - The Great Canadian Fiddle Show performed at the Fergus Grand Theatre on Feb. 29 to a full house. Theatre co-ordinator Eric Goudie has put together a lineup of string performers for this season. The Great Canadian Fiddle Show was the third performance in the lineup. During the show the performers asked for a volunteer to come on stage to learn how to play the fiddle.
New fiddler Gabby Goetz, centre, of Fergus was chosen to join the entertainers. Alanna Jenish, left, and Celina diCetca, right, gave Goetz a fiddle that she put under her chin. Jenish proceeded to use the bow across the strings while diCetca used her fingers and the strings to play the proper notes.
