Grand opening held for Forfar Park
Grand opening – In what may have been his last official act as mayor of Centre Wellington, Kelly Linton cut the ribbon at Forfar Park on Nov. 10. Years in the making, the park boasts new playground equipment, a junior soccer field, adult exercise equipment and shade structures. Benches and games tables are to come. Rachel Luther, of CW Remedies RX in Fergus, donated the fitness equipment, and Eric VanGrootheest had the washroom built.  Cutting the ribbon, from left: CAO Dan Wilson, outgoing deputy mayor Neil Dunsmore, Luther, Linton and managing director of community services Pat Newson. The Clayson family had already been enjoying the park for a few weeks before the official opening, but they made it for opening day, too. From left: Emma (holding Lennon), three-year-old Elora in the swing, and Graham.
