Grace2Band raises funds for the Downie Wenjack Foundation with Tragically Hip show
Hip sounds – Grace2Band came to Fergus on April 30 to celebrate The Tragically Hip and raise funds for the Downie Wenjack Foundation, a charity started by the late Gord Downie that is dedicated to assisting Indigenous people. A crowd filled the Fergus Grand Theatre to reminisce and to sing alloud the words of the Hip’s songs. After lead singer Andy Wehrspann announced that proceeds from the sale of swag would go to the foundation, six-year-old Miles Maghoughlen of Arthur ran down the aisle and to the stage to make a donation.
