Glimmer of hope
Dear Editor:
It warmed my heart. My wife was taking one of her frequent walks and encountered a young boy selling chocolate bars to raise money for his sports team.
She apologized and said she didn’t have any money. The boy looked concerned and offered her some.
She thanked him for his generosity and explained that she had not taken any money with her from her house. In this time of cynicism and political posturing, it gives me hope for the future.
