GIDDY, Daphne

Following a brief illness on Monday July 27th, 2026 Daphne Giddy (nee: Beard) passed peacefully at The Wellington Terrace in Fergus in her 101st year. Beloved wife of the late Arthur (Art) Giddy (1995). Loving mother of Graham (Janet) Giddy of Elora. Dear grandmother of Ian (Laurie) Giddy of Mount Forest, Rob Giddy of Fergus and Scott Giddy also of Fergus. Dearest great grandmother of Braedon, Colton, Grayson, Andrew, Ella, Joel (Katie) and Nicki, also great great grandmother to Namiah and Isabelle. Daphne is also survived by many other family members in England. She is predeceased by her son Stephen (2021) and her grandson Ryan (1990). Visitation was held at The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus on Wednesday August 5, 2026 from 1-3pm, followed by a funeral service at 3pm that same day in the funeral home chapel. Cremation followed and burial of cremated remains at Belsyde Cemetery in Fergus.
