Get the dirt on dirt at new county museum exhibit
ABOYNE – Wellington County Museum and Archives have a new exhibit opening that encourages visitors to get their hands dirty.
“Not Just Dirt: Digging into the science of soil” officially opens June 15 with an event at the museum from 1 to 3:30pm.
“Exhibit attendees will discover what soil is, why it’s so important to life in Wellington County and around the world, and how we can keep our soils safe and healthy in a changing climate,” said a news release.
The opening event, which will feature remarks at 2 p.m., includes children’s activities, light refreshments, and tours of the exhibit.
