GEORGE, Patricia A.

It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the peaceful passing of Patricia Anne George (nee Dickinson), on Saturday, April 4, 2026, surrounded by her family after a brief illness. Pat’s family and many friends felt the warmth of her caring spirit and steady presence she brought to their lives. She took great pleasure in the many crafts that kept her busy. As an avid knitter, she enjoyed craft sales, where she sold her beautiful and flawless creations. The items that she made for family are now a lasting legacy of her talent and are now treasured keepsakes. Pat worked for the County of Wellington and had an extensive career in a variety of roles. She worked at the Wellington Terrace and later retired from Social Services in Guelph. At each position Pat was well respected for her compassion to others and her dedication to her profession. She fostered friendships with co-workers that have lasted long after retirement. Pat leaves behind her loving and very devoted husband of 62 years, Allan, her adoring children Dale (Ottavia), Angela (Dan) and Stephen (Diana predeceased). Pat cherished the many visits and hugs from her grandchildren Sasha, Adrian, Jordan, Evan, Alyssa, Cameron and her great grandchildren. Each held a special spot in her heart and brought her immense pride and joy. Pat was predeceased by her parents Margaret and Hugh Dickinson, brothers Jerry, Bob and his wife Jane and sister Joan and her husband Doug as well as Arthur and Jean George, brother in laws Ron and Jim George. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her large extended family including brother in law Lloyd (Ruth), sisters in law Cathleen, Marion (Bruce), Linda (Gord), Marg and many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank the medical team at KW ICU for the care, compassion and support Pat received during her illness. Pat’s legacy lives through her family, her faith community and the many lives she touched with her generosity and compassion throughout her life journey. Donations in Pat’s memory may be made to KW Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital, your local hospital or a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com. A tree will be planted in memory of Patricia A. George in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
