GAWEL, Andrey ‘Andy’ Walter

Of Minto Township passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday, March 4, 2022, in his 74th year. Father of Steve and Kathy Gawel of Listowel, and grandfather of Broderick and Curtis. Brother of Zenon and Linda Gawel of Kitchener, George Gawel of Palmerston, Barb McLaughlin of Wiarton, and Henry Gawel and Gayle Blackwell of Palmerston. Brother-in-law of Agnes Gawel of Cambridge, and Jane Gawel of Kitchener. Remembered by his friend Isabel Nadeau, his nieces and nephews, and by those who called him ‘Grandpa’. Andy was predeceased by his brothers Richard Gawel (2013) and John Gawel (2016), and by his parents Walter and Mary (Szymczak) Gawel. A Celebration of Andy’s life was held at Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston, on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 2:00pm.
