GARDNER, Robert Alan

I will miss the hugs from someone who when standing, can look me in the eyes.  The reassuring ‘give em hell’ confidence booster before an interview or important event. The confidant, who you knew with absolute certainty, had your best interests at heart. This is just the perspective of a son who recently had to say goodbye to his Dad through a window, a barrier brought upon them by COVID. Robert Gardner left us November 30th, yet he will forever remain with those he loved and who in return loved him. He was Bobby to many, Dad to Jenna and Jared; Papa to Layne, Aria and Theo. For my Mother, Joanne, he was a partner for better and everything else life presented. Today is the first day of many that we will miss him dearly, but as my Dad made clear just a few weeks ago, ‘I will always be with you, wherever you go’. Our family will be forever grateful for the compassionate care given to our Dad at Bethell Hospice in Caledon. Donations in memory of Robert can be sent to foundation.bethellhospice.org
