Gallery Concert Series to host five concerts this season

WELLINGTON COUNTY – The Gallery Concert Series is looking to host five concerts this 2025-26 season.

November will see two programs, taking place in the Art Gallery of the Wellington County Museum.

The series will begin Nov. 9 with Betwixt and Between.

The program will feature cool jazz and nuevo tango, music by Piazzolla, Gaubert, and Rowles played by a trio of saxophone, flute and piano.

Nov. 23 concert will feature two groups. First The Royal Grand River Trio consisting of flute, violin and cello will perform the classics.

In the second half the Venturi Wind Quintet returns to play lively 20th-century wind work.

The January concert sees the return of the Cantabile Strings, exploring the great quartet repertoire for strings while the February concert has Spindrift returning for more wind quartet music from the beautiful harmonies of Bach to the equally wonderful harmonies of the jazz era.

These two concerts will take place in the Community Room of the Fergus Library.

The series ends in April with the Ambrosia Ensemble, this year featuring the violin, cello and piano trio with horn and clarinet making up a most unusual quintet covering 19th and 20th century repertoire.

Admission is $15 and will be cash only.
